The seventh Governance Board Meeting of the International Panel of Mesoscience (IPM) was successfully held at the Royal Academy of Engineering in London, UK, from September 19 to 21, 2024, with the participation of board members and special invitees from multiple countries worldwide. The meeting focused on in-depth discussions and planning regarding the secretariat development, membership expansion, and applications of mesoscience across various fields, with particular emphasis on scientific support for sustainable development and international cooperation, featuring expert exchanges on these topics.
The meeting reviewed and approved the membership development plan and delved into the innovative applications of mesoscience in different fields. Experts and scholars from institutions such as the Royal Academy of Engineering shared cutting-edge international research findings and transnational collaboration experiences, including practical cases in engineering education innovation and research funding mechanisms.
